Where do monsters go on vacation? To the beach, of course! Join a batch of friendly monsters as they kick off their flip flops, put on their sunscreen and enjoy a day of fun!
In this exhibit, visitors step into a world of friendly monsters where they maneuver through the monster obstacle course, show off your best dance moves at the underwater disco, patch up monster-sized boo-boos at the lifeguard station and more. All this monster play leads to strengthening social and emotional skills through delightful and highly engaging experiences.

- A grove of tree monsters where visitors work together move food up to hungry mouths before it comes tumbling back down
- An underwater Monster Mash dance floor where visitors dance out their joyful monster wiggles
- A monster lifeguard station where visitors take care of their favorite little creatures
- A monster obstacle course for climbing, squeezing and maneuvering through
- A scream booth where visitors can let out their inner-most feelings

Learning Goals
As young children develop social and emotional skills, it impacts their ability to develop positive
relationships as they grow older and their ability to navigate success in school. Monsters! supports children’s development in the following areas:

- Self-management: the ability to regulate one’s emotions, thoughts and behavior in different situations
- Social awareness: the ability to assume the other’s perspective and empathize with people from different cultures, understanding the social and ethical norms of such behavior
- Relationship skills: the ability to establish and maintain healthy and rewarding relationships
- Responsible decision-making: the ability to make constructive and respectful choices about personal behavior and social interactions based on ethical standards, safety concerns, social norms, considering the well-being of oneself and others
